Progression of Lust, Birth of Sin

I was reminded of this text during a class discussion this week. I'll present it here with little commentary except this: note how lust begins, then note the basic step-by-step structure of how sin grows in our lives. It rarely happens all at once. It grows naturally in our hearts because our hearts are naturally sinful:

"14...each person in tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived...17 Every good and perfect gift is from above...from the Father..."

James 1:14-16
