Nike VP and the "Power of Hello"

I enjoyed this commentary from Howard White, a Vice President at Nike.  He speaks on the importance of speaking to our neighbors (and strangers), and how a few simple words can separate us from being human or being "dogs."  Click to Listen.

One of the best ways that we can reach the world for Christ is through relationships.  Think about it-- why did you first go to church?  Most likely it was because a friend invited you, a parent made you, or the need for a relationship beckoned you.  On the other side of the equation, why did you first leave the church?  More often than not, it was because of a relationship (or more specifically, a broken relationship).

Relationships are powerful, whether we're connected by blood, affinity, or geography.  The "Power of Hello" is often the first step into something far more significant.
