The Artist and the iPhone

The Arstechnica site has the story behind June's New Yorker cover.  They've included a cool video, too. The artist used a widely available app to (virtually) paint with his iPhone.  It's evidence that beauty comes from the hands of the artist, not necessarily the tools he or she uses.

Consider God's tools.  He Created mankind. Although we do ugly things to each other, we're still created in His image...from dirt, no less.

"...for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return." (Genesis 3:19)
Jeremiah reminds us that God is indeed an artist, and we are the art.
"But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." (Jeremiah 18:8)
The Creator created some incredible art from very humble ingredients.  It's further evidence that it is the artist that matters.
